Wedding viewings

Come and see
the Abbey

A private viewing with our wedding coordinator, or a place at one of our open days. Both are free.

Walk round the Abbey with us

Photographs only go so far. A viewing is your chance to stand in the Great Hall, walk the grounds and picture the day for yourselves.

Choose a time below and our wedding coordinator will confirm it by email. If you would rather talk first, call us and we will find a time together.

Choose a time for your private viewing

Pick a day, then a time. You can add a second choice too, which helps us fit you in.

See the Abbey dressed for a wedding

On an open day the rooms are set as they would be for a wedding, and the team is on hand to show you round. Come when it suits within the times shown. Places are free; registering tells us how many to expect.

There are no open days planned at the moment. A private viewing is the best way to see the Abbey in the meantime.

Questions couples ask

Is a viewing free?
Yes. Viewings and open days are free, and there is nothing to sign on the day.
How long does a viewing take?
About an hour, longer if you have lots of questions. We would rather you left with everything you need.
Why do we need to book?
Weddings and events take place at the Abbey, so we arrange viewings around them. Booking means the rooms are free to see and the coordinator has time for you.
Can we bring family?
Of course. Bring whoever you would like an opinion from. If there will be more than four of you, let us know in your request.
Can we hold a date?
Ask on the day, or reply to any of our emails. The coordinator can tell you which dates are free and how holding one works.
